Founded on the 15th April 1979.
The Club name is taken from Hamilton Academicals FC whose score against Forfar Athletic was was being read out on television at the time.
The first kit was claret and blue (a la Aston Villa 1972) and was bought for just £19.
The first league game was on 7th September v Trelai Youth Centre,losing 5 -
In 1980/81 the club gained promotion and a second team was formed.
In 1984 The club won an award for sportsmanship from the South Wales FA.
As the players grew older it became obvious that a Veterans team had to be formed -
The club twice winners of Veterans’ International Tournament -
The Club has hosted Veterans’ International Tournaments -
In 2008 the The Veterans represented Wales in a 6 a side tournament at the University Masters World Cup in Switzerland, finishing 5th out of 10.
2008 The Veterans won Division 4 of the Bristol Casuals League.
2009 The Veterans won promotion to Division 2 of the Bristol Casuals League.
2009 The Veterans play a match against Ajax Veterans at the Dutch club’s Training Centre.
2010 The Veterans gain promotion to Division 1 of Bristol Casuals League and tour Antibes in France finishing 10th of 14.
2011 The Veterans host the Czech National Old Boys in Cardiff, and tour to Prague where they play Sparta Prague and Slavia Prague.
